[Kde-pim] Request to exclude KMail from the KDE 4.0 release

Is it possible to make KDE-PIM, like Koffice, it's own seperate entity ?
That way in X no of months / after kde 4.0 has shipped, KDE-PIM could
release their new version. THat way distro's would have to support the
old korganizer etc...until the new one is ready.
