[Kde-pim] Need some ideas where to look for a bug

Hi PIMsters,

I am trying to investigate this bug (currently filed for KAddressBook):
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137515

From the information so far provided by the user, it looks like some contact
entries where first correctly saved to the file resource and
later "forgotten", i.e. a more recent backup file and the current resource
file do not contain the entries anymore.

I assume that if one program changes the resource file, all the others
currently working with this resource get notfied based on file monitoring.

Now I am not sure if the applications have to react on this, if the resource
does or if it depends on some setting.

The user is very responsive to questions about more information.

Any ideas where to look deeper for possible problems?

Cheers,
Kevin
