[Kde-pim] Kubuntu, LDAP and Kmail

Hi

has anyone have a hint for me with the following problem: Since I've upgraded to Kubuntu 6.10 kmail cannot send out emails anymore. I get the strange message: "Das Versenden ist fehlgeschlagen:  2    Authentifizierung fehlgeschlagen, An error occured during authentication: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy mechs found wird nicht unterstützt" (note the strange mix of localized and English words - "sending mails failed ... worthy mechs found not supported)

I suspected a rights/ conflict. But then I logged on using a local account (and not my LDAP server) I was able to send.

So - obviously we are dealing an insufficient rights conflict e.g. some group missing or strange rights settings with the SASL  module (whatever it does - deactivating everything except plain logon to the SMTP server doesn't help either.)

Can anyone help or has an idea? That'd be really nice. Thank you very much in advance.
