Well you could set up bigger default fonts in the control center.

So basically you are saying that it was 1600x1200 and still is; in other =
words=20
your mods did nothing. Do you have a XF86Config-4 file in the same locati=
on?=20
If you do and are using Xfree 4.x.x rather than Xfree3.3.6 then you shoul=
d=20
modify it instead. And make sure you are looking in the etc/X11 folder no=
t in=20
/usr/X11R6//// because the one in etc will override the other.
