To reduce JuK dependencies on KDE frameworks?

Yea I would wait for KF5 to be more finished, unless you want to be a
part of that effort. KF5 will fill in those missing pieces of the Qt
api. Regarding your original goal, KF5 will also make it easier to
potentially have configurations of applications that have less
dependencies (like how Quassel can be built with or without KDE
integration.)

At the same time I bet you could get JuK today with far less than
200mb in dependencies just by changing how your Linux distro packages
it.

I also wonder why you care that JuK takes up 200mb. :D
