What presented layout? Michael's open-ended email was a list of "maybe we 
could do X?", not a layout proposal. It gave more questions than answers.

A layout proposal would be a *list* of what git repos would be created and 
what SVN directories would be part of each. "One repository per directory, 
except for X and Y" isn't clear enough.
