Aloha!
I'd like to ask everyone to take Phonon VLC from git master for a test
run (depends on Phonon 4.5.0).
Release is drawing near and considering the amount of change since 0.3
it would be very good to get as much testing as possible.
Particularly:
*) Most classes got moved, merged, renamed, redone -> general testing
*) Uses Phonon::MRL to obtain a sane encoded local URL
*) StreamReader is basically redone from scratch -> ought to be tested
with advanced use cases such as tomahawk
*) Preliminary debug system -> ensure it does not eat kittens or performance
*) The MediaObject conducts probing for video for 15 libvlc events ->
ensure it works under heavy load and does not break audio
*) It is currently starting libvlc with --no-xlib (meaning no plugins
that use xlib directly get loaded) -> this ought not break anything or
I have to sell my soul on ebay!
*) Video: subtitle switching works for MKV (supposedly also DVD and
.srt and whatnot) -> general testing
*) Video: audio switching works for MKV (supposedly also DVD and .srt
and whatnot) -> general testing
*) Video: video settings such as HBS are "stored" when no video is
available and applied later -> in dragon change the setting, close
dragon, start again with file, dragon should try to restore the video
settings successfully
TIA
