there's no reasons, AFAICS, that (if you were up for it) you couldn't be a 
proxy for KDE in these discussions and just forward on questions as you have 
them around to the right people?

i'm not optimistic on getting large numbers of KDE developers who are already 
scheduled tightly or in some cases not even around anymore active on the FD.o 
lists, so those that are there could do the project a great service by 
triaging things =)
