What happens is that the WinAmp CD input plugin has for awhile now used CDDA
to read the digital information off of the CD, and then play it itself.
Normally what happens is that the music player tells the CD drive to play,
but doesn't handle any audio. WinAmp changed that to make visualizations
work, but you can simulate the same thing using the audiocd:/ ioslave. Just
play one of the .wav files from the audiocd:/ ioslave.
Perhaps kscd could be changed to do that as well, but that's not my
department. :-D
