The only other solution would be to tell the playlist to handle that itself. 
E.g. let the session manager tell the playlist to restore its state properly. 
That'd put the burden onto every playlist plugin to implement this properly 
tho.

As we can't add another virtual method, we're probably stuck to the latter 
anyway. I really want to see this working tho.
