Patch for Noatun's Split Playlist

Several months ago I became mildly annoyed with certain quirks in the SPL.  
Figuring this would be a good intro to KDE hacking, I studied the source, 
then patched away my problems.  Then I wrote a short document explaining what 
I had done and posted it on the web along with the patch and some 
screenshots.  Then, feeling a bit timid, I didn't tell anyone about it.

This was back in October.  I just came across the patch again the other day, 
and thought someone might at least be interested in it.  So here's the readme 
document I wrote for it:
