Ogg files never play. Upon pressing "play" via any means they file appears to load (hard drive clicks) track name appears and a timer appears. the timer remains at zero. The very same ogg files work with xmms. Below is the output from  noatun after running it from the shell, even though it doesn't look all that useful to me
