It's even stranger now: I put my laptop into suspend over night.
And today I can not reproduce this anymore ...
But a general question (I'm not a sound guru):
I thought, the sampling rate is needed for sound recording only (e.g. from a
microphone), and getting data from the CD and storing it on my disk is just
copying binary data (and probably some conversion) ?
OTOH, copying data with konqueror (audiocd:/) to my disk produces a slightly
different file size than when simply getting this data with cdparanoia - why
Best regards/Schöne Grüße
