well, no, actually, i'm not the only one... i found out within the last 2 
weeks after bringing together a couple bug reports and some conversation on 
irc that sounded similar ... i finally nailed it down to being Qt 3.1.2 for 
some people (haven't figured out the difference (if any) between those who it 
works for and those who it doesn't) ... i've informed everyone that i know of 
who has encountered the problem what the source of the problem is, but i 
haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. 

should i put out a stability advisory regarding Qt 3.1.2 and KsCD? hrm...

simply disabling the checkbox in CVS isn't going to help anyone who has a 
stable 3.x release and installs Qt 3.1.2 (which seems to be the majority 
source of problems) ... =/ for those using CVS i expect a bit more in the way 
of problem solving skills and/or patience ;-)
