one thing: i see there in the menu the applications have just the name mail, 
contacts, calendar etc.

can this be done in the upstream desktop files as well? 
on plasma active we have all names cutted like "kontact touch M..."
"kontact touch mail" is not going to fit space wise on any mobile platform ;)
