True, or use the button.
Sometime I set the path and then start "akonadictl start" first.

I think so.

This is one of the core values of having a running instance, we want to get
experience with it. I've also noticed this issue. Probably we have to make
the slider also a button. I also believe we need to make it slide-inable by a
button press of the left thumb.

There is a defect, sometime the slider do not fully open.
You can pull them out a little bit more and then you can slide them in again.

Folders will show up, when akonadi has them as far as I've understood.
It helps me to use akonadiconsole (do not forget setting the right path)
and check the configuration. I could configure a Kolab Server account with
IMAPS and SMTPS using the account wizard and later correcting some settings
with akonadiconsole.

First: Make sure no process is running anymore.
kdepim-shutdown and then kdeinit4_shutdown should do the trick or reboot.

Then you could remove the complete configuration.
Remove .kde, .local/share/akonadi, .config/akonadi

We will ask in a more systematic way I think. For now, we are getting the core
functions to work and configure. You could try to find a public wiki place
and help to update it, because there are meanwhile a lot of small little
hints that all our N900 users have, that are easily forgotten, when writting
a readme.

Best,
Bernhard
