We have just discussed this during the 9th KDEPIM dev meeting in Osnabrück:

If you happen to have a situation again where the phone or Kontact Touch
is slow or unsrepsonsive, you can help us by starting "top" or "htop"
on the command line and help to identify:

a) Is this a memory issue or a cpu issue?
b) Which process is causing it?

Notes: By default top and htop will be sorted by current cpu usage
you can press M in top and htop to sort by memory usage. Look for the
processes listed on the top. Do not believe the absolute memory numbers,
but the relative one. Tell us the first three applications listed there.

It is a memory situation if you see a large swap file used.

Thanks,
Bernhard
