I just tried again this morning and hit the same problem, although I
had not removed the old configuration data.  When I tried to send a
test e-mail to myself, KMail gave both error and success messages, but
neither completely fit in the "Orange Bubble" notifications, so I'm
not quite sure what they said.  At any rate, the e-mail was not sent.
Otherwise, things are looking great - faster, prettier, and
better-designed with every release.
