Same problem here, seems to crash with every .avif file that I tried. For
example, I downloaded one for testing purposes from here ( link: 
https://github.com/link-u/avif-sample-images/blob/master/fox.profile1.10bpc.yuv444.avif
) and also that file causes digikam to crash.
