[KDE/Mac] Kate's status on OSX?

Nicolas,
The biggest problem so far is that the frameworks use QStandardPaths which
doesn't give us the same flexibility that KStandardDirs did in kdelibs4
times. There's a patch floating around and discussion about it here:
https://codereview.qt-project.org/103277 but nothing has been upstreamed
yet, so it wont likely make it into Qt 5.5 unfortunately. That patch can be
used to build your own Qt 5.4 though, either by cloning qt5.4 from git or
with Rene's qt5 macport from trac.
Other problems that don't affect kate itself most likely, but could affect
other aspects are kinit failing to launch klauncher and such. Check the
kde-mac mailing list archives from this and last month to see the
discussion if you are interested.
