[KDE/Mac] about kcmshell5

Hello,

Concerning kcmshell5 from kde-cli-tools : is output or the actual exit value 
from this utility ever used?

In other words, can I launch it through a proxy ensuring that it is started 
using LaunchServices on OS X? That's about the only way I know that doesn't 
involve using AppKit (an ObjC SDK) to ensure that kcmshell5 launches in front of 
other windows.
