It’s interesting to note that you are still receiving these crashes.
Jeremy tried to reproduce it and as far as I know he did not succeed on 10.9 and 10.6.8.
But I think he’s still not fully done with tests where he is building many KDE4 ports with different
configurations regarding MacPorts' “trace mode".

He promised to give feedback in a fortnight or so, once he came to deal with those issues on his end.

As far as I know Ian also had severe trouble realising meinproc crashes...

Weird stuff.
