Hello,

I am not sure of the environment in which you tried to compile it, but to my knowledge, some compilation variables and environment variables are critical for the functioning of KDE programs. For this reason, I used in my case Macports to ensure that the paths and variables were set correctly, and I could compile working versions of KDevelop.
I am not a user of it, but I think Fink could also provide a fine environment for this matter.

For the case I know (Macports), KDevelop is not yet in the official packages to my knowledge, but I had made packages on my own, that I should anyway post for submission. If you are interested, I could transmit them with pleasure.

Cheers,

Nicolas

I do anything that is written in wikis of kde and kdevelop itself (I have compile kdesupport+kdelibs+kdevebdev_kdevelop+some other packages: dbus, gettext, libiconv, glib, libjpeg, giflib and some other misssing dependences in OS X 10.6.5). I want to understand how it (compilation) can be done by hands - without usage of binary packages (only Qt is preinstalled nokia sdk package). If anybody knows how it can be done please help!
