[KDE/Mac] can't compile qt4-mac properly

hi
in my effert to (re)install kde on mac i found that i can't properly install
qt4-mac any more
in fact, though it compiles fine, as soon as I try to compile anything kde4
related, like phonon, i get

Qt was compiled without -fvisibility=hidden! this may break plugins and
stuff
recompile qt or you're doomed
(actual error message may differ)

how is it possible? i compiled qt4-mac 3 times now and always got the same
error
any ideas?
