This happens to me every time I reboot my Arch partition. However, I found an 
easy workaround: logout (from the KDE session) and login again.

For some reason the akonadi option is not present in my "system settings" - 
wonder why. Can anyone tell me (and help me correct the 'system settings' 
menu?)
