[kde-linux] Wireless problem on Fedora 13

I recently installed Fedora 13 on my laptop and am having trouble getting
wireless working in KDE. Wireless works fine under Gnome in both
NetworkManager and traditional (ifup) modes but refuses to associate with my
Linksys WRT54G router in KDE under either mode.
Am I assuming correctly that both desktops store the configuration in the
same place in Fedora the way openSUSE does? I've tried adding "-dd" to
the /etc/sysconfig/wpa_supplicant file and using tail on the log file but it
doesn't show any activity for wpa_supplicant
Since NetworkManager is used by both desktops, I assume the only difference is
in the GUI interface. Has anyone else using KDE in Fedora 13 experienced this
problem?
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Tom
