Another approach would be a quad output video card. From what I understand
though, the current Nvidia quad output cards can't do TwinView across all 4
outputs - you can only do TwinView on 2 outputs at once. This means two
displays for X, each spanning two monitors.

Is anyone aware of a graphics adapter that allows you to do the equivalent
of Nvidia's TwinView, but across more than 2 outputs, and that is 3D
accelerated?
