Well, I just tried it here (KDE3.5.10, with KWrite 4.5.10) printing via 
the Generic PS driver to my HP LJ2015D, with paper set to US Letter and 
everything else at default. I got two pages of print - lines 1-52 on 
page 1, lines 53-70 on page 2. No missing lines. But I guess you were 
wanting it done using KDE4/KWrite ...
