[kde-linux] tray-based app across desktops

I wrote a little Perl/Tk app to present a panel of controls for my MythTV 
setup. I start it from the K Menu with the setting to host it in the Tray. 
I also run a half-dozen virtual desktops. When the app is open on one 
desktop, picking the tray icon from another desktop doesn't bring the app 
up - I must go to the desktop where it's open.

Is there a way I can have the app open through the tray icon from any 
desktop, no matter if it's open already?
