[kde-linux] suggestions for a KDE4 compatible video card

There seems to be a lot of problems with nVidia cards wrt KDE4. I am
in the market for a new video card. So, any suggestions for something
that "just works" with KDE4.1.2+? Looking for something with a snappy
feel when running KDE4 ("wow effects", after that is the main selling
point of KDE4, right?). Well more seriously, something which can run
OpenGL apps like Google Earth comfortably and a dual-monitor setup
with 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 resolution monitors. Not a gamer at all
so nothing too fancy! Within $50 (ok this is flexible), may be a
little more.

Suggestions are extremely appreciated!
