[kde-linux] KDE 3.5.8 not showing GIFs

Mine looks like this:

[ebuild   R   ] x11-libs/qt-4.3.2-r1  USE="cups ssl
zlib -accessibility -dbus -debug -doc -examples
-firebird -gif -glib -jpeg -mng -mysql -nas -nis -odbc
-opengl -pch -png -postgres -qt3support -sqlite
-sqlite3 -tiff -xinerama" INPUT_DEVICES="-wacom" 0 kB

Interesting enough, jpg and png are with a dash, but
the browser shows them.

In /etc/make.conf I have
USE="-gtk -gnome qt3 qt4 kde dvd alsa hal"

I will add gif jpg png tiff and follow the advice.
