[kde-linux] Desktop switching (was: Seriously broken under Gentoo)

Son of a gun :annoyed look:   I had removed the pager applet from my
taskbar.  Adding the pager back (without doing anything else) fixed
it.  It wasn't arranged 2x2, either :-?  So I removed the pager
again :-)  Still good!  But at least now I know how to fix it if
need be.
