Is there a config file that can be deleted that KDE will regenerate when 
he logs back in?  Is this a file that is in the home directory or is it 
in the KDE directory, /usr/kde for Gentoo?  Mostly curious but this may 
be easier plus one of us may could share the config file with him too.

I'm not implying that you have a answer but hope you do.
