[kde-linux] boot.ini file change HELP

Hello

I recently changed my settings on my Windows XP "-SYSTEM PROPERTIES - startup and recovery - Edit" file that is the "boot.ini file". After making those changes, I no longer could boot my computer. Using KDE I was able to access the "boot.ini" file with the mistake and tried to change the file on KDE. I can edit the file, but I cannot save. How can I change the boot.ini file and save the changes? I really am in a mess here.
