Hi all,

I got a macbook so the first thing I did was to install Gentoo Linux
and KDE 3.5.9.
I am having some trouble configuring the keyboard.
In my X file I have:
Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Keyboard1"
    Driver "kbd"
    Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    Option "XkbLayout" "uk"
    Option "XkbOptions" "numpad:mac"
EndSection

The in the KDE control panel I go to keyboard layouts and add United
Kingdom Layout, keymap gb, variant mac, label mac and the following
line shows up:
setxkbmap -model apple_laptop -layout gb -variant mac

I dont think I need to do anything with this line (I guess it is just
informational). So I restart X and now my arrows are not working,
tilde near left shift is also not working and a couple of other keys.

Is there anyone out there who solved this?

Cheers,
