[kde-linux] Install question regarding use of makobj

When should kdesdk be installed in reference to the techbase install
instructions? I know the alias line of .bashrc can be commented out - but
I'm not sure what I loose by doing that or when to install kdesdk and
uncomment that line.

When I run cmake on the scripts folder (after all I only need makeobj) I
get: INSTALL PROGRAMS given no DESTINATION!

Any ideas?
