[kde-linux] Unable to acces kwallet password-file

In my former opensuse 10.3 I had installed the kwallet password manager,
and used this without any problems. To access the wallet, I executed an
alias for the command "kwalletmanager &", and this gave me an icon in
the taskbar. Clicking on the icon was sufficient to open my password-
wallet.
At present I have kdeutils3-3.5.9-47.1 installed, and at installation 
time of suse I asked for kde3.5. (Which did not prevent the installation 
of some kde4 parts, like kde4-filesystem)
When giving the "kwalletmanager &"-command this results in
  kwalletmanager &
[1] 8607

Appearently the command is running (in the background), but I have no 
clue how to access my wallets. Anyone a hint?
