For whatever reason, the two latest distributions I've been installing (SuSE 
10.3 and SimplyMepis 7.0 RC1) both have RealPlayer set as default for most of 
their audio stuff !?!

 Wikipedia says RealPlayer for Linux is "based on the open-source Helix 
Player", is it really open source?

Is this "realplayer for everything" a KDE policy or a choice of the 
distributions?
