Hi,

Just a guess.
I often move files between M$ or different versions of linux and I sometimes 
encountered problems with files having accentuated characters.
Those files got copied OK but with a messed up name and it was then difficult 
to move them around again.
So could there be some special character in the name of your pdf file?
