I don't know what might have caused your colors to be changed, 
but if you go into the Control Center's Colors dialog, you may 
be able to change the color used for borders on active and 
inactive windows so it doesn't have so much contrast. Also, have 
a look at the border size attribute in the Glow theme 
configuration dialog and see if you can set the border width to 
something narrower than "normal". Either, or both of these may 
help.
