This is a known bug, see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41514

There some things you can do to make the problem less annoying:
- use bogofilter instead of spamassassin, it is much faster
- create some filter rules which moves the mails from mailinglists into their 
own folder, and then stop (so the mailinglist mails do not get through the 
spamassassin filter).
Then only non-mailinglist mail blocks KMail
- from the bugreoport: One can always pick up the mail with an external 
process like fetchmail, use procmail to run it through spamassassin and then 
grab it with kmail once it has been analysed
