Why do you mean? I can't change the resolution? I can configure X / KDE to use all resolutions from 640x480 up to 1280x1024.

Yes, that seem to be the problem. On my notebook with 1400x1050 I have an 4:3 aspect ration and all looks fine. I'll try it with 100dpi.
