[kde-linux] How to disable the kde Ctrl+Space shortcut?

hi,

i want to use eclipse on kde 3.4.3 (kubuntu 5.10) and cannot use the  
Ctrl+Space shortcut.
it looks like kde intercepts it and never sends it to eclipse in the  
first place.
is there a way to disable this shortcut in kde, or force it to be  
passed through?
and what does this shortcut do in kde anyway? i couldn't notice any  
response to it.
