[kde-linux] problem with the k menu and kmenuedit

hello
i am using slackware 10.2 and kernel 2.6.13 and kde 3.4.3
after upgrading to kde 3.4.3 the kmenuedit function does not work.
i have a lot of new icons in my k menu that i did not have and are not 
working, and i cannot delete them becouse keditmenu will not work.
when i run keditmenu from command line i get the following error:

X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode:  20
  Minor opcode:  0
  Resource id:  0x3400467

can anyone help me?
