[kde-linux] KMail 1.8.3 and kernel 2.6.14.2 problems

hmm,
I have kmail 1.8.3, on

uname -a:
Linux ecs535 2.6.14-gentoo-r2n #1 PREEMPT Tue Nov 15 18:46:43 CET 2005 i686 
mobile AMD Athlon(tm) 4 AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

here and no problems.
my disk is ext3, however, mails are remote (dimap).
