From what you are posting I guess you have chosen the wrong list for
your needs.
Suggestions:
Communication between Linux and Windows is defintively the field of
Samba. www.samba.org They have excellent manuals and howtos
(http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/) also as PDFs (e.g.
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba3-HOWTO.pdf and
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba3-ByExample.pdf) A brief
introduction can be found here:

I furthermore do not understand why you want to use your SuSE-Box as a
gatway and a winbox as the server?
With respect to your proposed purpose. Have a look at KDE's kiosk
functionallity (http://dot.kde.org/1114550303/).
