[kde-linux] Desktop doesn't synchronize with the filesystem

Hi people,
Does anybody have any idea?
Is there way to instruct KDE to sync with the file
system more often?
The problem doesn't show up all the times, but it does
happen very frequently, and once it does, it persists
during the rest of the session.
