BTW, one thing I could do, is "accept" all suggestions on launchpad, merge, 
and post the diff against the current rkward.po for review. Would that be a 
good alternative, or it easier to review the suggestion while they are still 
pending on launchpad?

(The advantage of accept+diff is that I could shut down our launchpad 
translations page, immediately, to avoid any risk of confusion).

Well, for now we are in playground-edu 
(https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/edu/rkward). There is not really 
a final word on where we will be going in the long term. Probably extragear 
(since we often need to synchronize with R's release schedule). But KDE/edu 
does not seem entirely out of the question, either.
