That's strange, it should use fish://root@localhost/etc/kde-profile/buho
(i.e. with user root). I have no idea why your system is trying user buho
instead though. Anyone else who does?

Yeah, that's to be expected.

What you could do as a workaround is to chown the whole thing to you, but
that's a major security risk, so only do it as a last resort:

    chown -R buho:users /etc/kde-profile
