Yes. Did you compile KIOSK v0.5 yourself or are you using the SUSE packages?
How about KDE 3.2.3?

KDE 3.2.3 should do so automatically. There may be a mismatch
between /etc/kderc and /etc/kde3rc though. KDE uses /etc/kderc by default,
but the SUSE packages use /etc/kde3rc.

Yes, that should work as well. The disadvantage of that approach is that if
you make changes later on it will no longer affect already existing users.
